Las Bambas, one of the most important mining operations in Peru, continues to promote the development and progress of its stakeholders, especially in the districts where it operates through various actions towards the communities.
This 2021 has implemented the "Las Bambas Recognition Program", which rewards every 3 months the work of the contractors that work hand in hand with the mining company.
In the month of our Bicentennial, our colleague Omar Huamán Villanueva, a mechanical technician in the maintenance area of STRACON, received the first position as “SAFE WORKER”.
With 2 years working at Las Bambas project and with 7 years in STRACON, Huaman Villanueva has acquired the necessary experience to stand out in his work within the mining industry. Likewise, the 38-year-old collaborator has participated in previous projects located in Shougang, El Brocal, Buenaventura, and Hudbay, always hand in hand with STRACON.
